Who we are
This website is run by DBS Studios Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17371362). Our registered office is 1 Coldbath Square, London, England, EC1R 5HL. DBS Studios Ltd is the "controller" of the information described on this page, which means we decide how it is used and are responsible for it. For anything about your personal information, email hello@dbsstudiosltd.com.
This page covers this website only. Each app we publish has its own privacy policy, linked from that app and its store page.
What we collect
- Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive your name, your email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
- Basic visit records. Like almost every website, the company that hosts this site keeps short technical records of visits, such as the internet address of the device, the type of browser, the page asked for and the time. We use these only to keep the site working and secure.
This website sets no cookies, has no advertising or tracking, has no visitor accounts, and does not ask you to fill in any forms.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and discuss work you have asked us about. We do this because you asked us to, and because it is in our legitimate interest to answer business enquiries.
- To keep the website secure and working, which is in our legitimate interest.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that provide our email and website hosting, who handle it on our behalf. Some of them may store information outside the United Kingdom; where they do, they are required to protect it to the standard UK law expects.
How long we keep it
If your enquiry does not lead to work, we delete your emails within two years. If it does, we keep the emails and records of the work for six years after the work ends, because the law expects companies to keep business and tax records for that long. You can ask us to delete your emails sooner, and we will unless we are required to keep them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it;
- object to how we use it, or ask us to limit it.
To do any of these, email hello@dbsstudiosltd.com. We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. We will acknowledge a complaint within 30 days and tell you the outcome. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this page
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
